Get involved for families like the Menzies experiencing breast cancer

When the Thomson Cricket Club in Geelong signed up to take part in last season's Pink Stumps Day campaign, they had extra motivation to make their club's event a success.

Felicity Menzies, wife of club president Dale, was diagnosed with hormone positive, early stage breast cancer during the 2019/20 cricket season and signed up to host a Pink Stumps Day shortly after being diagnosed. Being surrounded by a sea of pink cricketers and the cricket community on the day of their club's Pink Stumps Day event made Felicity feel so supported and proud to be a part of the event.

Throughout Felicity's diagnosis, treatment, and after, the Menzies family have had the support of their McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Sue Bowles. "The knowledege and support that she gives us, in all honesty, makes it so much easier. Having her takes away a lot of the fear."
